20 albums.

okay so i stole this from torrell
its the 20 albums i cant live with out. or just my plain favorites.enjoy and comment .
there in no specific order just random.

Taking Back Sunday - Where You Want To Be
tbs was my first dive into this genra
and ive pretty much held them up on a pedistle
ever since. theve kinda failed me but i still love the original
album that harvested my infatuation. favorite track and all time
favorite song is still "new american classic"

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication
i remember being young enough to have my brothers watch
me listening to this album while they played it. Im pretty sure
"californication" was the first music video i saw on MTV. no to mention
there still pretty damn good. it came close to making me choose stadium arcadium instead.

Goo Goo Dolls - Dizzy Up The Girl
the tracks found on this album are the like classic old school
goo goo dolls songs that get so over played but i still love them if i
havent heard them in a while. specifically this album falls into the same genra
as the red hot chili peppers in nostaligic 90s music i liked when i was younger because my brothers played it.

Goo Goo Dolls - What I Learned About Ego, Opinion, Art, & Commerce
this album is deffinatly my more mature interest in the goo goo dolls.
tracks like acoustic #3 i just plain love not for any symbolism it has. not to mention
this isnt the album that gets over played so i can still turn it on and want to liste  to it while driving,

Secondhand Serenade - Awake
i know they're not technically that good(or he rather).
but i still really like him he was like my 9th grade emo soundtrack.
and i cant deny i loved him then. and sorta still do. im a sucker for acoustic
its just what im most frequently in the mood for.

The Fray - How To Save A Life
first things first. i hate how trendy they've become!
its played out one of my favorite bands. and that just makes them not
fun to listen to for everybody. i really dig there new album too but there old album
was kinda a significant point in my early/mid high school age. and there cover art is always pretty sweet too =]
Kanye West - College Drop Out
i know hes become a douche but even so i think hes
pretty damn talented no matter how cocky he is its still true.
he got me back into "hip hop" or rap i guess you could say. and it was hard
to choose one of his albums they all have good moments and some blander
ones but im digging the original he hooked me with "jesus walks".

Say Anything - ... is a Real Boy
the first time i came in to contact with say anything was seeing
them open for dashboard confessional like 4 years ago. after that i
absolutely loved them. there different and a little off puting sometimes but
i love them sometimes. i gotta be in the mood for them but when i am they hit the spot.

Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue
This album was the first album i bought on my own that wasnt
like the a boy band or britney spears album. i remember opening
it in my dads truck after buyig and needing to listen to it right away. i also
remember having a favorite song for the first time that wasnt shown to me.
"one year six months' is still my favorite song from this album. oh and strings are
always killer. especially in a band that might otherwise sound so much like everyone else.

Jimmy Eat World - Futures
my first real boy friend gave me a burned copy of this cd
because "23" reminded him of us thus making it "our song" . lame!
but  after a year or too of not really listening to them i gave em another
shot when i stumbled into there cd. it was love for the entire band ever since.

John Mayer - Where The Light Is (Live)
i recieved this album as a christmas present from my mom last year
and let me just say john mayer is exponentially better live than studio edited.i dont
care what anyone says hes a true artist when it comes to his guitar and yeah he is kinda
a narcissist in terms of his music but i still love him. but anyways this album was like
my sound track to playing with my new (as of last christmas) mario 64.

The Beatles - The White Album
"the beatles" are fantastic i dont care how trendy
theve become again they were still ground breaking.
and my favorite is their white album. blackbird is my persoal favorite and
i don't feel like i need to justify why this album is in my top 20 any further if at all.

Eminem - Curtain Call
eminems great. irrefutable statement.
hes a bit of a genius in his own right. i know hes crude and
honest and alot of people dont like that but theres enough
bad shit in this world that you cant hate him for rapping about
it and creatively expressing himself through that. not to mention
his comic relief. i couldnt pick just one album nor did i wanna
put all of them so curtain call has most of the ones i need to include.
Modest Mouse - Good News for People Who Love Bad News
there a great band and there new album is phenominal
and most closely resembles this album but this one is my favorite.
its the one that got me into them and was straight up the soundtrack to my summer
of 2008 and my trip to alaska from august/september of 2008. i can't even pick a favorite.

Christina Aguilera - Stripped
i know a little change of pace. but this cd was like life altering
to me when i got it. i felt bad ass for being the only one in my school whos mom would
let her have this cd. it took me a bit to realize that stripped ment alot more to christina
aguilera than cloths. its a great album with an awsome track featuring alicia keys
whos also a gifted artist. of and even though shes a mainstream pop artist the girl can sing.

Dashboard Confessional - A Mark A Mission A Brand A Scar
another summer playlist album but still a great album no matter how emo
they may be if im driving to the camp i work at this track neeeddds to be playing
when i pull up. this album has the ability to make me feel the sun in the middle of february.
Coldplay - Parachute
ohh cold play i saw them for the first time this summer and
going in this was my hands down favorite album no competition.
Coldplay - A Rush Of Blood To The Head
after seeing coldplay in concert a came away with a new found
respect for tracks from this album. "the scientict""a rush of blood to the head"
and my favorite of the entire show was "politik" the videography was amazing.

The Postal Service - Give Up
i love death cab but the postal service beats them out for me
especially if im looking at one album to choose. this entire album
is my favorite one of those albums thats  kinda very much a whole.
i couldnt pick a favorite and if im in the mood for one track im in a mood
for the whole cd. and im always in the mood for the postal service.

lexi anczok  - The Beginning
lastly is a three track album composed and preformed
by a friend of mine. shes almost 16 and crazy gifted at piano.
shes hoping to go back into the studio soon and record some tracks with vocals soon.
her name is a link to her myspace.
